		<description>Just a quick update on this story according to the &lt;em&gt;Vilas County News Review:

A re-examination of the gold standard in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) awarded to Northland Pines High School by the U.S Green Building Council (USGBC) was conducted Dec. 15, according to District Administrator Mike Richie.

“The USGBC sent a representative from Washington, D.C., and another from New York,” Richie told the board of education Monday night. “We also had representatives from Hoffman, who designed the school, and Johnson Controls. They spent the entire day looking at the allegations and doing tests.”

Those allegations of not meeting the gold standard were filed with the USGBC in a 125-page document by area residents Ron Ritzer, Kurt Hartwig, Pat Smith, Rod McKinnon and Kevin Branham.

“They went through everything in the system,” Richie said. “There will be an independent person from Los Angeles to look at all the numbers.”&lt;/em&gt;
